In recent years, China Railway No.3 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. has made major breakthroughs in super high-rise buildings, train station buildings in megacities & ultra-span industrial plants. The "Scientific R&D Center of China Railway No.3 Engineering Group Co., Ltd.", a landmark on Yingze Street of Taiyuan, is 176m high. The high-speed rail station buildings for Hangzhou South Station undertaken by it have large scales & high standards, initially using the advanced technology of sliding large steel roof above operation lines. Changchun Station of Changchun Railway Terminal won China Steel Structure Gold Award with steel structure modification. Currently, China Railway No.3 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. is actively engaged in civil engineering & participates in the reconstruction of shanty towns in major cities, playing the social functions as a state-owned enterprise in Taiyuan, Xi'an, Jinan, Urumqi & other cities, & benefiting the local people.
In the field of construction engineering, a total of 39 scientific & technological achievements have been formed, of which 4 have reached national & international advanced levels, 13 obtained the science & technology awards at / above the provincial / social power level, 53 construction methods were developed (including 2 national methods), 41 patents were authorized (including 9 patents for invention), which won 2 second prizes of China Construction Engineering BIM Competition twice.
Technical achievements of the comprehensive construction technologies for super high-rise buildings. The undergoing Scientific R&D Center of China Railway No.3 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. is 176.39m high. It has a novel & unique appearance, a complex structure as well as diverse functions. Energy conservation & environmental protection are required during the operation. It adopted the new smart integrated climbing scaffolding technology pioneered in China, which allowed multi-angle free climbing & flexible adjustment of protective dimensions. This technology has been incorporated into the national climbing frame technical specifications of the Ministry of Housing & Construction. Horizontally internal bracing & bracing change of circular reinforced concrete in deep foundation pit, smart wireless temperature measurement of mass concrete, smart dewatering & recharging of foundation pit as well as other technologies are firstly used in the province. The plans of section steel concrete cantilever & outrigger truss conversion solved the problem of building irregularities, avoided the use of structural forms of steel outside & cylinder inside, & reduced the cost of about RMB 20 million. The project actively promoted green construction technology & passed the acceptance of the third national green construction demonstration project. BIM technology was used in the whole process to support project management, which ensured project quality, accelerated the construction, & won the second prize of the first National Construction Engineering BIM Technology Application Competition. The research project has obtained 5 provincial construction methods & 1 utility model patent. A number of patent technologies are under application.
Construction technology for long-span non-pile canopies with steel pipe truss in platforms in soft soil area. Relying on the construction of non-pile steel canopies in the platform of Wezhou Station, China Railway No.3 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. practiced & summarized this technology in the construction & application in southeast coastal soft soil area & existing lines. The construction methods of setting up steel platforms & GPS-15 rotary drilling rig plus concrete casing were used, which solved the difficulty of piling the canopy foundation when the existing railway subgrade & subgrade pile foundation had been completed in soft soil. The formed single-support unilateral cable-stayed lifting technology created a new technology for double-climbing cranes on existing lines. Information-based technical staking-out, CNC machine tools & professional caul were used for processing, which met the precise machining & installation quality requirements of truss & reduced the interference effects with cross-track operations. The application of special caul & all-position welding technology solved the technical problem of closing up entrance corridor boxes. This technology has reached the domestic leading level, successively winning the third prize of China Railway Engineering Corporation for Scientific & Technological Progress & the third prize of Architectural Society of China for Scientific & Technological Progress & obtaining 1 provincial construction method of Shanxi.
Sliding technology of steel truss on roof of station building on existing lines. The sliding construction of steel truss on roof of station building in Hangzhou South Railway Station, undertaken by China Railway No.3 Engineering Group Co., Ltd., is China's first steel structure sliding project which overpasses 8 existing railway lines (4 main lines of Hangzhou-Changsha High-speed Railway & Hangzhou-Ningbo High-speed Railway as well as 4 main lines of Shanghai-Kunming Railway) in operation. It is 254m long, the sliding unit steel truss weighs 560t at most, & the total sliding tonnage is around 4,000t. The construction is difficult, the construction environment is complex, & the safety risks are enormous. After repeated argumentation, the hydraulic jacking system was adopted for the unit-by-unit assembly & sliding construction method, which could overcome such adverse factors as large component lifting & construction on operating lines. After 195 days, sliding was completed & the node objectives were achieved. To ensure the successful sliding construction, full-scale & seamless supervision of the construction site, a project management information operation platform based on BIM applications was established for the project, which became one of the 14 full-cycle BIM application demonstration sites of China Railway Corporation, & this achievement has won the second prizes of China Construction Engineering BIM Competition.
